" Neighborhood America is making good on their commitment to provide government not only with the technology solutions, but with the knowledge needed to deliver results. "
November 5, 2009 - Neighborhood America, an award-winning enterprise social media and mobile marketing solutions provider, debuts new video to support its recently released Gov 2.0 Starter Kit, which brings together industry leaders to share lessons learned from leveraging social media within government. The video covers common struggles experienced at the federal, state and local levels; the pros and cons of open source technology versus an enterprise solution; and why a shift in attitude is important when adopting Gov 2.0.
Mirroring the Gov 2.0 Starter Kit published last month, the video features professionals from different levels of expertise: Dr. Mark Drapeau, adjunct professor, School of Media and Public Affairs, The George Washington University; Scott Burns, CEO, GovDelivery; Steve Ressler, founder, GovLoop; Kathleen Smith, CMO, ClearedJobs.net; Tim Harvey, director of business development, CDS Telecom. The participants are among a select group asked to provide feedback on the Kit, all of which had positive comments on the one-stop learning resource.
The Gov 2.0 Starter Kit combines research and practical advice based on Neighborhood America’s decade of experience in the Gov 2.0 space, providing insights appropriate for all levels of social media knowledge.
“Neighborhood America is making good on their commitment to provide government not only with the technology solutions, but with the knowledge needed to deliver results,” says Scott Burns, CEO of GovDelivery, who recently announced the acquisition of GovLoop to give government employees a new way to collaborate and share information through social networking. “Sharing stories and insights through video is a powerful way to reinforce learning and advance Gov 2.0.”
