July 8, 2010 - INgage Networks CTO David Bankston will participate in the session, “Leveraging Gov 2.0: Getting Beyond the Hype and Building Real Social Media Solutions,” at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) 2010 in Washington, D.C. next week.

The five-day event brings together Microsoft partners from around the world to learn about the company’s roadmap and best practices for the year.

A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, INgage Networks offers more than a decade of experience serving public sector and commercial clients with social media solutions. David was selected to discuss the company’s innovative partnership within the State of Michigan and its newly released solution for political campaigning, ELAvate Campaign. This fast-moving session will feature several presenters, each given five minutes to discuss their experience. Attendees should walk away with a better understanding of what Gov 2.0 means and how to include it in their business model.

SESSION: Leveraging Gov 2.0: Getting Beyond the Hype and Building Real Social Media Solutions

ABSTRACT: The growing popularity of social media and continuing “consumerization of IT” ensures the excitement around Gov 2.0 continues unabated. Hear how minor changes to existing solutions can leverage this excitement; how to design solutions that help governments achieve their Gov 2.0 goals; and criteria for evaluating the usefulness of social media in government scenarios.
